Explore the histories of overshot as a weave structure, Appalachian coverlets, and the weavers from this region who recorded these patterns for us to draw inspiration from. Practice adapting a pattern to make it your own, and experiment on the loom with non-traditional approaches to overshot, including inlay, alternative materials, and other creative variations. The looms will be pre-threaded for this weekend workshop. By the end, you will have a collection of overshot cloth samples to take home.
