Let's create a handsewn sketchbook to capture our new year energy and fresh ideas. In this workshop, you will make a cloth book cover, prepare paper for your pages, and sew it all together with a long stitch spine sewing technique.

How does text and textile connect?

In this 1 day workshop, we will begin to tell our stories through hands-on making in the techniques of sewing and stitching. Learning the basics of embroidery, appliqué and other fiber construction like simple quilt blocks and textile collage. Participants will explore some possibilities that exist within the stitched thread making a small story quilt.
